Great Opportunity for Training and CEU’s

Want CEU’s that include LGBTQi+ issues?

Our own Joe Amico, current Secretary and Past President of NALGAP, will be doing the first full day tract on general LGBTQi+ issues which covers “alphabet soup”, why the need for pronouns, making your practice more LGBTQi+ friendly and other topics.  One of the hours includes a “field trip” to UW-Stout’s incredible LGBTQi+ on campus center called “The Cube.”

The second day of the NRI features NALGAP Board Member Gus Raymond, Director of Prevention and Intervention for Storm Lake Community Schools Storm Lake, Iowa. Talk about an exciting presenter:  Gus is a trans man serving in rural Iowa!  He scored among the highest evaluations for last year’s NRI presenters!

Want to attend a great national conference for free?

NALGAP is the proud sponsor of the National Rural Institute on Alcohol, Drugs and Addictions (NRI).  The NRI will be held June 9-13 at UW-Stout in Menomonie, WI.  The NRI is hybrid so you may attend in person or online.  The great advantage of this conference is that following the in person gathering, all of the keynotes, tracts and special topics are available up to 90 days following the conference so folks can get up to 60 hours of CEU’s approved by NAADAC!  The other enticing opportunity is that NRI has lots of scholarships available including full tuition that includes room and board for first time attendees!

This is a great opportunity to spend time with colleagues in a comfortable mid-west college setting.

As a sponsor, NALGAP will be providing rainbow lanyards and pronoun pins to all participants.
